About This Recruitment
Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) is inviting online applications for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil), Class-II under the Sports Authority of Gujarat (Advt. No. 63/2026-27) for a total of 4 vacancies. Candidates selected for these posts will be considered employees of the Sports Authority of Gujarat and not direct Gujarat Government employees. Online applications can be submitted through the official portal gpsc-ojas.gujarat.gov.in starting from 06 November 2026 (13:00 hours) until 20 November 2026 (23:59 hours). Selection will be based on a Preliminary Examination scheduled tentatively for 17 January 2027 followed by an Interview.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology from a recognized university established or incorporated by or under a Central or State Act in India, or an institution recognized as a deemed university under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment Rules.
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi, or both.

Selection Process / Exam Pattern
- Selection Stages: Preliminary Test (300 Marks) and Interview (100 Marks).
- Weightage: 50% for Preliminary Test and 50% for Interview.
Preliminary Examination Structure
- General Studies: 100 questions, 100 marks, duration part of total 180 minutes.
- Concerned Subject (Civil Engineering): 200 questions, 200 marks.
- Total: 300 questions, 300 marks, 180 minutes duration.
- Qualifying Marks: Minimum 15% in Preliminary test to be eligible for interview shortlisting.
- Medium of Exam: Gujarati.
