Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has issued a recruitment notification (Advt No. 464/202627) under a Special Recruitment Drive for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) for 1 vacancy of Additional Assistant Engineer (Mechanical), Class-3, under the Gujarat Maritime Board. About This Recruitment
GSSSB invites online applications for direct recruitment to the post of Additional Assistant Engineer (Mechanical), Class-3 in Gujarat Maritime Board under Ports and Transport Department. Salary & Benefits
Selected candidates will receive a fixed pay of Rs. 49,600/- per month for the first 5 years. Upon satisfactory service completion of 5 years, candidates are eligible for regular appointment in Pay Level-7 (Rs. 39,900 to Rs. 1,26,600) under the 7th Pay Commission.
Eligibility Details
Candidates must possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Technical Examination Board, Gujarat or a recognized University, or a Diploma in Automobile Engineering. Candidates must have basic knowledge of computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services rules and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi language.

Selection Process / Exam Pattern
Selection will be based on a single-stage competitive examination (CBRT/OMR mode) worth 210 total marks for a duration of 3 hours (180 minutes). Part-A contains 90 questions on Reasoning & Data Interpretation (30 marks), Mathematical Aptitude (30 marks), and Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension (30 marks). Part-B contains 120 questions on Subject-specific Knowledge and Applications (120 marks). Each wrong answer will result in a negative marking of 1/4th (0.25) marks. Minimum qualifying standard is 40% in each Part.
Documents Required
Candidates must possess valid educational certificates, birth certificate/school leaving certificate, Disability Certificate (Form V, VI, VII), Caste/Category Certificate (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS), Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for SEBC), OTR registration details, white background passport-size photograph, and signature in JPEG format (up to 15 KB).
