About This Recruitment
Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar invites online applications for recruitment to Class-III (Group-A and Group-B) posts through the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2026-27 under Advt No. 468/202627. Salary & Benefits
- First 5 Years (Sub Registrar Gr-1 / Office Supt / ATDO)₹49,600/month (fixed)
- First 5 Years (Sub Registrar Gr-2 / Social Welfare Insp / Head Clerk)₹40,800/month (fixed)
- First 5 Years (Senior Clerk / Office Assistant / Junior Clerk)₹26,000/month (fixed)
Appointed candidates will receive a fixed monthly salary during the initial 5-year probation period based on post classification. Regular pay scales apply after successful completion of 5 years of service according to government norms.

- Stage 1: Preliminary Exam (Combined for Group A & Group B - MCQ Test)
- Stage 2: Main Examination (Descriptive for Group A, MCQ Test for Group B)

- English: 15 Questions, 15 Marks
- Gujarati: 15 Questions, 15 Marks
- General Awareness and Current Affairs: 30 Questions, 30 Marks

- Reasoning: 60 Questions, 60 Marks
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer.
- Qualifying Minimum: 40% marks in Preliminary Examination.

- Paper-I (Gujarati): Essay, Precision Writing, Comprehension, Letter Writing, Report Writing, Grammar.
- Paper-II (English): Essay, Letter Writing, Report Writing, Visual Information, Speech, Precis Writing, Reading Comprehension, English Grammar, Translation.
- Paper-III (General Studies): History of India, Cultural Heritage, Geography, Science & Technology, Regional/National/International Events, Indian Constitution, Public Administration & Governance, Ethics in Public Service, Indian Economy & Planning.
Group-B Main Examination Syllabus
- Indian Constitution, Economy, Public Administration, Ethics, Government Schemes, Current Affairs, History & Geography of Gujarat, Cultural Heritage, Gujarati & English, Science & IT.
