About This Recruitment
Zilla Parishad Chandrapur (General Administration Department) invites offline applications from qualified law professionals for recruitment to 1 contractual post of Legal Officer (Vidhi Adhikari). The engagement will be on a contractual basis initially for a period of 11 months, extendable up to a maximum of three terms of 11 months each based on performance and necessity. The selected candidate will handle legal matters, provide legal advice to the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samitis, assist panel advocates, draft affidavits and parawise comments for court cases, monitor pending litigations, and act as a nodal officer for judicial proceedings.

Salary & Benefits
- Contract Tenure (11 Months)₹50,000 per month (fixed)
Consolidated monthly honorarium of ₹50,000 per month. Traveling expenses for court matters outside the district will be paid as per rules applicable to government employees. No other allowances will be admissible.
Who Can Apply
Educational Qualification
- Graduate Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized university. Candidates having a Master's degree (LL.M) in Constitutional or Administrative Law will be given preference. Must hold a Sanad (bar enrollment).
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of practice/experience as an advocate handling legal cases in the High Court or other subordinate courts (supported by Vakalatnama or Affidavits).
Age Limit
- Age: Maximum 45 years at the time of appointment.
Other Criteria
- Knowledge of Marathi, Hindi, and English languages is required.
- MS-CIT or equivalent computer qualification certificate is required.
- Candidate must be a resident of Maharashtra state.
