About This Recruitment
ICAR - Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (ICAR-CIRCOT), Mumbai is inviting applications for engagement in temporary contractual positions under various research programmes (Mission on Cotton Productivity - Kapas Kanti) and in the Finance & Accounts Section. A total of 16 vacancies are advertised for Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Young Professional-II (YP-II), and Young Professional-I (YP-I) positions. Place of posting will be at ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai and Ginning Training Centre (GTC), Nagpur. Selection will be through a hybrid mode interview scheduled for 16th, 17th, and 23rd November 2026. The initial engagement will be temporary and project-based up to the completion of the project period (2026-2031). Salary & Benefits
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF)₹37,000/month + HRA
- Young Professional - II (YP-II)₹42,000/month
- Young Professional - I (YP-I)₹30,000/month
Senior Research Fellows receive HRA as applicable in addition to monthly pay. Female YPs are entitled to maternity leave as per rules.
Who Can Apply
Educational Qualification
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Master's degree in Agricultural Process Engineering, Post Harvest Engineering, Mechanical, Electronics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or relevant disciplines with 4/5 years Bachelor's degree (or 3 years Bachelor's with Master's + NET + 2 years research experience).
- Young Professional - II (YP-II): Master's degree or 4-year B.E./B.Tech in relevant engineering/science disciplines (Textile Technology, Agriculture, ECE, EEE, Mechatronics, Physics, Biotechnology, etc.).
- Young Professional - I (YP-I): Graduation or Diploma in relevant discipline (Engineering, Textile, Science, Chemistry, B.Com, BBA, BBS with min 60% marks).
Age Limit
- Senior Research Fellows (SRF): Maximum age 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on closing date.
- Young Professionals (YP-I & YP-II): Age 21-45 years as on closing date.
