Salary & Benefits
Appointed candidates will receive a fixed pay of Rs. 40,800/- per month for the first five years. Upon satisfactory service completion, regular pay scale Level-5 (Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300/-) will be awarded as per the 7th Pay Commission norms.
Eligibility Details
Candidates must hold a B.Sc (Nursing) degree or a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) recognized by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council. Knowledge of basic computer applications as well as Gujarati/Hindi is required. Candidates must be registered with the Gujarat Nursing Council prior to appointment. Age must be between 18 and 35 years as of 29-10-2026, with applicable age relaxations for PwD candidates.

Selection Process / Exam Pattern
The selection process consists of two competitive examination papers (MCQ format): - Paper-I (Nursing Subjects): 100 Marks, 100 Questions, 2 Hours duration. Topics include Fundamental of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Midwifery & Pediatric Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, and Community Health Nursing. - Paper-II (Gujarati Language & Literature): 100 Marks, 100 Questions, 2 Hours duration. Topics include Language (30 marks), Grammar (40 marks), and Literature (30 marks). Negative marking of 1/4th (0.25) marks applies for incorrect answers. Minimum qualifying standard is 40% in each paper.
Syllabus
Paper-I includes Fundamental of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Midwifery and Pediatric Nursing, Mental Health & Psychiatric Nursing, and Community Health Nursing. Paper-II covers Gujarati Language, Grammar, and Literature.
