Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj has released an official recruitment notification for 17,735 Assistant Teacher (TGT) posts. Eligible candidates with relevant Graduate/Post Graduate degrees along with B.Ed. and TET qualification can apply online between 24th October 2026 and 23rd November 2026.
About This Recruitment
Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) invites OTR-based online applications from eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Teacher (TGT - Graduate Grade) in non-government aided schools across Uttar Pradesh. Selection will be based on a written examination comprising 120 objective questions total 360 marks.

Salary & Benefits
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-7 with a basic pay scale ranging from Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month plus applicable state government allowances.
Eligibility Details
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks (or Master's Degree with 45% marks) in the relevant subject/discipline, along with a B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized institution and UP TET/CTET Upper Primary Level (Class 6-8) qualification. Minimum age is 21 years as on 1st July 2026, and the superannuation age limit is 62 years.

Selection Process / Exam Pattern
Selection will be done through a written test of 360 marks consisting of 120 objective-type multiple-choice questions (30 questions on General Knowledge and 90 questions on the concerned subject). Duration of the exam will be 2 hours. Each correct answer awards 3 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.

Documents Required
Candidates need to upload scanned photograph (10-100 KB), signature (10-100 KB), and required educational certificates/documents in PDF format (20-200 KB). Hard copies along with self-attested document sets (High School, Intermediate, Graduation, B.Ed, TET, Caste/EWS certificate, NOC if employed) are required during document verification.
