Salary & Benefits
The pay scale for Subedar (Secretariat) - Stenographer is Rs. 36,200 - 1,14,800/- and for Assistant Sub Inspector (Secretariat) is Rs. 19,500 - 62,000/-. During the 3-year probation period, stipend will be paid as 70% in the 1st year, 80% in the 2nd year, and 90% in the 3rd year of the minimum pay scale.
Eligibility Details
Candidates must possess Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent, Hindi Shorthand speed of 100 wpm (for Subedar), CPCT certificate with Hindi typing, and a computer diploma/degree (such as COPA, Diploma, BCA, MCA, BE/B.Tech in CS/IT) from a recognized institution.

Selection Process / Exam Pattern
The selection process consists of two phases: 1. First Phase: Written Exam (Online MCQ) of 100 marks for 2 hours. It includes General Knowledge & Logical Reasoning (40 marks), Intellectual Ability & Mental Aptitude (30 marks), and Science & Simple Arithmetic (30 marks). 2. Second Phase: Practical/Typing Test of 100 marks (minimum qualifying marks: 30%).
Syllabus
The written exam syllabus covers General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Intellectual Ability, Mental Aptitude, General Science, and Elementary Arithmetic. The practical test syllabus includes Hindi Shorthand dictation and transcription typing on computer.
